FaceBook Page for Before His Throne

New Page on FaceBook

Hi to all of our loyal "Before His Throne" prayer blog followers!

So sorry I've been sporadic about updating the prayer blog. Having a one year old and a firstgrader (along with a full time job) has not been easy! And, I know with Debbi's CF and Melanie's newborn and husband who has been deployed, it's not been easy on them either.

We have been praying :) And, remember, the Lord does not forget you. If we've missed posting your requests or your praises, the Lord has remembered many times over.

Please note that we will not abandon this blog but for now, We will mostly be posting requests as we can on FaceBook.

If you are not on FaceBook, don't worry. As I said, we will not stop posting here, but I did want to let you know where you can find us on FB.

We are on the Page: In Prayer; Before His Throne or you can click on the link below:

I just wanted to remind you also to rejoice in the Lord always - He Has Risen! Not only did Christ die for our sins but he LOVES us and cherishes us. We have a true friend in Jesus.

Love to you all,
Amanda

Brooklyn

Please pray for tiny 5 year old Brooklyn, a child of a friend of a friend of mine.
She fell off of her bike yesterday and broke her femur. As doctors were repairing her leg, they found a large tumor in there. They are now testing the tumor for cancer. Please pray that she is free from this devastating disease.

Brooklyn has two younger siblings. Please pray for this family during this difficult time.

Alan Henley

I've often posted about Alan Henley. Alan is a former stunt pilot who suffered an accident in their back yard in June of 2008, leaving him paralyzed.

Last night Alan was taken by ambulance to the ER. He had autonomic dysreflexia, which they have corrected. He has fluid in his lungs and they found that he has had a mild heart attack at some point. He was transferred to UAB hospital today and is in the ICU there.

Jen pulled some muscles in her back this past weekend when lifting Alan. She is in a lot of pain and has been under terrible stress with the full responsibility of caring for him and their two small children.

Please be in prayer for Alan and Jill. You can follow their updates and leaving encouraging messages on their Caring Bridge site.

Abbie

Please pray for Abbie.
Please see her recent blog post here regarding her most recent struggle with getting pregnant with her next miracle baby. She needs our prayers.

Thank you.

Brent, Stacie, and Max and their Unborn Baby Girl

This prayer request comes from my friend Kahla's blog:

Please send prayers for Brent, Stacie, and Max. Brent and Stacie are 20 weeks pregnant with Max's baby sister and learned yesterday that she has a huge brain mass. As of right now they have been told that best case scenario the baby will be blind or deaf but most likely she is brain dead or severely brain damaged. They are awaiting more tests and appointments, but as you can imagine they are devastated. As a parent, I cannot even begin to imagine what they are going through. If you have a moment, it just takes a few previous seconds, send some prayers that their appointments will show that their sweet baby girl will be OK. God works miracles every day, we have that proof.

Lauren and Brad's family

My friend, Lauren, is being ushered into God's presence sometime soon. She's 29 yrs old and has Cystic Fibrosis. She was married to Brad for 6 years. Lauren's lungs deteriorated very quickly this past year.

Please pray for Lauren and Brad's family as they go through this very difficult time.

Lauren was a very strong Christian and very beloved in the CF community. She was one of my closest friends in the CF community.

Update on Tim & Melissa request

I just realized that I never shared the exciting news from Tim & Melissa!

Melissa gave birth to Baby Grace on October 31. Grace was 1 lb. 14 oz. when born and has been doing very well! The doctors are amazed, but with so many people praying that really explains it. She will have her ups and downs, but right now she isn't even on O2! The drs. told Melissa she wouldn't be able to hold her until next week, but then things changed and she was able to hold her for 15 min. yesterday.

They have lots of pictures on their FB page, but it's not my place to share them (or I would!). Just picture Baby Gwyneth, just a tad more filled out because she was 1 lb. 4oz I think.

Melissa is recovering from the pre-eclampsia faster than the drs. expected. Initially they thought she'd be in the hospital for a few weeks, but now they are thinking she will go "home" this weekend. The hospital is 1 1/2 hrs. from their home, so they will be staying near the hospital until Baby Grace is allowed to go home.

Thanks for your prayers and continue praying for them because they still need it!
