FaceBook Page for Before His Throne

New Page on FaceBook

Hi to all of our loyal "Before His Throne" prayer blog followers!

So sorry I've been sporadic about updating the prayer blog. Having a one year old and a firstgrader (along with a full time job) has not been easy! And, I know with Debbi's CF and Melanie's newborn and husband who has been deployed, it's not been easy on them either.

We have been praying :) And, remember, the Lord does not forget you. If we've missed posting your requests or your praises, the Lord has remembered many times over.

Please note that we will not abandon this blog but for now, We will mostly be posting requests as we can on FaceBook.

If you are not on FaceBook, don't worry. As I said, we will not stop posting here, but I did want to let you know where you can find us on FB.

We are on the Page: In Prayer; Before His Throne or you can click on the link below:

I just wanted to remind you also to rejoice in the Lord always - He Has Risen! Not only did Christ die for our sins but he LOVES us and cherishes us. We have a true friend in Jesus.

Love to you all,
Amanda

Stephen

Please pray for a friend of a friend, Stephen.

Stephen is 50 years old and in October 2008 he started turning yellow. He went to the ER and found out he had bile duct cancer. It spread to his liver and lungs. A couple of weeks ago he ended up with total liver failure. Yesterday (February 24) his doctor told him that he probably only will live two more weeks.

Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

Pray for Brad Wims

Brad is a father of 3 who is struggling with cancer. Please check out their site and pray for Brad and his family.

Lori, Cfer with Pneumonia

Please pray for Lori, a friend of Christy's. Lori, who is 9 years post-transplant, has gone from an fev1 in the 70's to one in the 50's in just a few months. They just diagnosed her with aspergillus pneumonia last week after doing a bronch. They started her on an IV anti-fungal, but so far, it's not working. She is still very sick. They are going to do another bronchoscopy tomorrow. Her husband Jason will be doing a post on their blog tomorrow after the bronch. Please pray that whatever they find, they can treat, and her numbers will come back up. Thank you so much.

Where are the requests?

Wow, where are all of the prayer requests, lately? I guess that's a GOOD thing, altho I kind of imagine there are some that we aren't hearing about.

::I have a family member who has dealing with infertility for 4 years and is having surgery March 11th to check her tubes and see if there are any other problems.

::I have a friend who has struggled to become pregnant after losing one baby. She's now pregnant and on bed rest and I'm sure she would appreciate prayer.

::Some praises: I've known of four (4!!!!!) people who have received double lung transplants in the past 7-10 days due to their Cystic Fibrosis and they are ALL doing WELL!!! Yeah!!!

I haven't given you any names for any of these, but God knows who they are!

Meghan's mom - Update!

Leslie sent this update this morning:

Update! :-) They removed 80% of it and she has her memory back! This journey is not over by far and she will probably have to do more chemo and radiation but she has a strong support system. My friend has expressed her gratitude for all who is praying for her mom! She truly feels blessed.
Thank you,

2/12-
I am SOOOO sorry that I didn't get this up here sooner. I have a virus and have spent much of the day in bed and just now checked and found this email request:

My good friend Meghans mom is having surgery to remove a brain tumor today, she is in surgery right now. Please pray she gets through this and gets her memory back. She is a wonderful woman who has taken care of her family all her life. It doesn't look good but miracles do happen. Thank you very much.

Please pray for Meghan's mom. These surgeries take time and I'm sure she could still use your prayers!

Wesley and Family

Please pray for Wesley.

Wesley is thirty years old. In April 2008 Wesley started getting very sick. What doctors thought were sinuses; ended up being a rare brain disorder. Chiari Malformation. On July 9th, he had brain surgery to fix the Chiari. The surgery was successful. All seemed to be going well until August 30th, 2008. Wesley became very ill. After going to the hospital he had swelling and fluid on his brain. Wesley’s brain was very swollen and he had a severe infection. He spent several days in ICU and was diagnosed with Pseudotumor Cerebri; (or false tumor of the brain). To relieve the pressure and drain the fluid, a shunt was put in on Sept. 5th. On Oct. 1st a new shunt was put in. He has continuous problems with the shunt, which the Dr.'s are trying to fix. Both brain diseases are rare and there is NO cure. But, with the shunt and being watch closely by doctors he can live a normal life.

Wesley is married with four young children.

Carolyn and Baby

Please pray for a friend of a friend, Carolyn.

Carolyn is pregnant with her second child. Doctors have found that the baby has a club foot and fluid around his heart. They are now going to do an amnio to determine if the baby has Downs Syndrome. I understand that Carolyn was extremely distraught when they found this out so I am asking for prayers for her baby and the entire family.

Please pray for Garran and his family. Garran is 7 years old and has Cystic Fibrosis. He got called in today for his transplant at UNC. Some of these can be false alarms if they aren't a good enough match. Pray for a great match for Garran and perfect healing. Pray for his family as they wait through this, also.

2/4 UPDATE - Garran has been doing great since his transplant. Yesterday he was up and walking 3 times and today he was extubated! Way to go, Garran! To follow his progress, check out his CaringBridge site.
